You will read a lot about how I encourage you to work smarter and not harder.
While this is the eventual goal, understand that at the beginning of your quest for passive internet income, you will have to work hard. You will probably harder than you’ve ever worked before because this entails a new way of thinking and platform that you’ll be utilizing, not to mention the creativity and passion that you will be pouring into it as your site and readership grows.
It will get easier, and funner, but for now it will be an uphill battle.
The hard work will go toward planning your website structure, building and customizing the look and feel of your site design and navigation, to pouring your heart into the content that you will write that will populate your site with great quality articles that people will enjoy reading.
Since many of you will be new to blogging or putting up a static “set it and forget it” website, understand that there will be a learning curve before you become proficient in adding and customizing your site.
The more and more time you put into it in the beginning, the faster you will get acclimated to the content management system (CMS) that you have chosen to work with (ie..wordpress, joomla, drupal, etc…).
If you truly want to have the freedom you dreamed of from the passive internet income that you are about to create, you MUST put in the time and work hard on writing the content that only you can write. Remember, it’s your passion. It’s your brainchild. This is your “start up,” so give it all you got.
Don’t have any time? Yes you do. Stop making excuses.
Do it on your days off of work or school. Do it after you come home from work, cook dinner, and put your kids to bed.
Create the time or create excuses why you shouldn’t succeed. It’s up to you.
